Christopher E. Kubasik was elected President and Chief Operating Officer of Lockheed Martin Corporation effective January 1, 2010. In September 2007, Mr. Kubasik was appointed Executive Vice President of the Corporation's Electronic Systems Business Area, with $12.2 billion of revenue for 2009, a portfolio of more than 1,400 programs and customers in 43 nations. He was named as the Corporation’s Chief Financial Officer in February 2001; in that capacity, he was responsible for all aspects of the Lockheed Martin’s financial strategies, processes and operations. Mr. Kubasik is Chairman of the Board of Sandia Corporation, which operates the Sandia National Laboratories for the U.S. Department of Energy. He also serves on the USO Board of Governors, the Association of the United States Army Council of Trustees and the University of Maryland College Park Foundation Board of Trustees. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin in 1999, Mr. Kubasik was with Ernst & Young, LLP, where he was admitted to the partnership in 1996. Mr. Kubasik received an Executive Engineering Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008 and completed the Systems Acquisition Management Course for Flag Officers at the Defense Acquisition University, Fort Belvoir, in 2004. He received his bachelor's degree (magna cum laude) from the University of Maryland in 1983. | |
