Lockheed Martin supports an extensive program of industrial partner engagement and enterprise collaboration in Australia focused on programs supporting Australian Defence Force capabilities, as well as its global customer base.
Through the innovative 'Team Australia' program developed to support the New Air Combat Capability acquisition program and the Australian Government's 2002 decision to join the F-35 Lightning II fighter System Development and Demonstration program, Australian companies have already received some A$350m of contracts for F-35 work, with potential for up to $6 billion of work over the life of the program.
Through a Global Supply Chain Deed signed with the Australian Government in 2011, Lockheed Martin is working with local companies to survey capabilities relevant to participating in industrial activities supporting the Corporation's global supply chain, as a separate activity to work already contracted under the F-35 program. GSC activities also involve local universities and research institutions. Read More
