Troy, AlabamaDescribed as the safest and most advanced plant of its kind in the world, the 3,863-acre facility is located 6 miles northeast of Troy, Alabama, and 30 miles south of Montgomery, Alabama's state capital. At the facility workers perform the final assembly, test, and storage of Lockheed Martin systems. In October 1997, the facility was named by Industry Week magazine as one of America's 10 best industrial plants and in 1998 won the Alabama Quality Award.

Directions

From: Montgomery Regional Airport - Dannelly Field

From the exit of Montgomery Airport, turn right.
At I-65, turn left, heading north toward Birmingham/Montgomery. Stay in right lane.
Take first exit to eastbound E. South Blvd, Highways 80/82.
After about 6 miles, turn right onto US 231 South (there is a mall on the left at this intersection).
After driving south about 30 miles, turn left past Highway Marker 89 onto County Road 37.
Drive about 2 miles (passing through a 4-way stop) until you see the plant on the right.
Go to the Administration building a ring the buzzer.

Policy

The Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) Policy of Missiles and Fire Control is to operate our facilities in a regulatory compliant, responsible manner that protects the environment and surrounding communities, commits to pollution prevention and prevention of occupational injury and ill health, conserves natural resources, and provides a safe and healthful workplace for employees, contractors and visitors. The policy requires employees to:

  • Integrate ESH considerations into strategic business decisions, engineering design, procurement, facilities management and production.
     
  • Continually improve the environmental aspects and safety and health performance of our business and incorporate establish and review ESH goals in applicable performance measurements.
     
  • Cultivate ESH responsibility by all employees at all organizational levels and those who work on behalf of and under the control of the company.
