COMBATSS-21 Combat Management System

COMBATSS21COMBATSS-21 is at the core of the most modern naval combat systems:
• LCS Flight 0
• DDG 1000
• Deepwater

COMBATSS-21 is a modular, scalable open combat management system, which can be employed on any class ship, from patrol vessel to carrier. It incorporates tested, highly reliable, non-developmental software, making COMBATSS-21 an extremely capable and low-risk solution.

This advanced technology is based on the evolution of our Aegis combat management system, installed and field proven on over 100 ships throughout the world.

Architecture
COMBATSS-21 is fully compliant with the Navy Open Architecture Computing Environment (OACE) Category 3. The Open Architecture design separates the computing infrastructure from the application, effectively exploiting commercial computing technology and permitting rapid, affordable technology insertion throughout a system’s life cycle.

Custom software adapters called “Boundary Components” are the key to the flexibility of the architecture to support a wide range of sensors, communication, and weapon interfaces. Boundary components simplify integration of system elements and provide flexibility to accommodate future change.  Changes to sensors, communication and weapons are easily integrated and isolated from core components of the command and control system.
