F-16 UAE Training System
UAE's F-16 Block 60 Training System includes Unit Level Trainers (ULT) and Weapon Systems Trainers (WST) that incorporates many features of the U.S. Air Force F-16 Mission Training Center, also in development by Lockheed Martin.
The WST incorporates a dome-type visual system, and each ULT has a 150-by-40-degree out-the-window visual system. The Training System's components interface via local and long-haul networks which interface with UAE's existing Mirage 2000-9 training systems. The WST serves as the primary training device for the combat-ready pilot to achieve front seat training goals. The ULT is the primary training device at the squadron level. The F-16 UAE Training System delivers real-world operational capabilities for day and night missions in all weather conditions.
