The Lockheed Martin Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement Systems (MILES) XXI is the live training system providing realistic training to our ground forces. MILES XXI provides a training environment fully integrated with battlefield operating systems and after-action review, resulting in unparalleled training capability.
The MILES XXI solution represents a state-of-the-art solution in Tactical Engagement Simulation (TES) equipment. This fully tested and operational solution provides live training capabilities for infantry systems, combat vehicle systems and support vehicles and target systems.
These MILES XXI systems are interoperable with all previous MILES configurations and are upgradeable for instrumented use at Combat Training Centers and with precision-gunnery configurations. Enhanced features include smaller components, longer battery life, lower production costs and reduced system maintenance and life cycle costs from previous versions of MILES equipment, resulting from our use of largely off-the-shelf components in a low-power design.
A modular and adaptable solution demonstrated on multiple platforms including all variants of the U.S. Army Stryker Vehicles. Our use of standard industry interfaces such as RS-232, RS-485 and RF communications provide multiple low-risk integration capabilities. This modular, flexible design allows for rapid expansion of training to any desired level of fidelity with low risk and at low cost.
