Profile
Stennis Integrated Metrology Center Stennis Integrated Metrology Center (IMC) is the newest of the Metrology Service Laboratories. As Lockheed Martin's flagship Metrology Laboratory, it serves as a centralized location for calibration of primary standards, calibration of high volume and complex instruments, and component-level repair for a wide variety of instruments. With lab space approaching 40,000 square feet and calibration standards valued at over $10M, the IMC is intended to be a "one stop shop" for Metrology Services. Once the center is fully activated, this "world class" laboratory will be among the top in the US and the world. Stennis Integrated Metrology Center is aggressively pursuing laboratory accreditation through A2LA to ISO 17025 with an anticipated completion by Winter 2004. All calibrations are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Intrinsic Standards, or Industry Accepted Standards. Sunnyvale Metrology Services Sunnyvale Metrology Services, located in the heart of Silicon Valley, has provided calibration and repair support for over 45 years. Because of the diverse Lockheed Martin programs and commercial customers it supports, the laboratory has a tremendous breadth of calibration capability. Sunnyvale Metrology Services has a dedicated team of 41 professionals that allows for a quick turnaround for most common equipment. As one of the "one stop shop" team, Sunnyvale Metrology Services also has the logistics team necessary to deliver, pack, and/or ship equipment no matter where in the world it is going. In addition to calibration support, a dedicated engineering staff is on-hand to provide measurement analysis and assistance upon request. Sunnyvale Metrology Services is A2LA accredited to ISO 17025 in numerous measurement parameters. All Calibrations are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Intrinsic Standards, or Industry Accepted Standards. Denver Metrology Services Denver Metrology Services has over 45 years of operational experience and provides calibration services and technical support for a wide variety of government and commercial customers. Equipment calibration and repair is accomplished by a highly trained staff of professionals averaging greater than 20 years of metrology experience. As a full service laboratory there are very few if any calibrations we cannot perform. In addition to providing calibration services, we can provide technical support in the areas of measurement systems, uncertainty analysis, and Metrology training to mention a few. Denver Metrology Services is aggressively pursuing laboratory accreditation through A2LA to ISO 17025 with an anticipated completion by August 2004. All Calibrations are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Intrinsic Standards, or Industry Accepted Standards. Port Canaveral Metrology Services At Port Canaveral Metrology Services, being one of the smaller of our laboratories does not mean it is any less capable than its larger team members, it only means its capabilities are a little more limited. The Port Canaveral laboratory has provided support to numerous internal Lockheed Martin customers (e.g. Atlas Program) for many years, but recently their expertise has been in high demand from numerous external customers like the US Coast Guard, Science Application International, and Boeing to name a few. Specializing in the more Physical/Dimensional measurement end of the spectrum does not mean that this laboratory cannot handle many of the common electronic instruments used by organizations today. Should this very capability laboratory not be able to service a specific instrument, they can quickly ship it to one of its team member laboratories, thus providing a one stop solution. All Calibrations are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Intrinsic Standards, or Industry Accepted Standards. Dallas Metrology Services Dallas Metrology Services is Lockheed Martin's first completely commercial laboratory. It is located onsite at Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas. Although it is a small lab, it has a broad capability that rivals laboratories much larger. In addition to providing direct support to Texas Instruments, laboratory personnel provide services to many other customers, like DRS, Raytheon, and Elcan to name a few. A team possessing both Engineering and Technician experience in excess of 20 years makes it possible for the laboratory to handle a wide variety of Metrology and Calibration issues. Quality is foremost in this laboratory, which has been proven through successful ISO9000:2000 and TS16949 audits conducted by a third party agencies. All calibrations are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, to Intrinsic Standards, or to Industry Accepted Standards
