Taylor Kightley Engineering

Developing mutually beneficial partnerships with the UK supply chain is a critical element of Lockheed Martin UK’s business strategy. Its supplier partnerships and alliances are investment strategies which deliver valued outcomes.
Taylor Kightley Engineering (TKE) is a high precision manufacturer of small and medium batches of precision machined and fabricated components. By employing a mix of traditional skills and modern day CNC machining techniques the company produces a large variety of technically demanding components for the automotive, aerospace, defence and security industries, among others.
Based on a small industrial estate in Northampton, TKE’s relationship with Lockheed Martin UK stretches back 10 years during which involvement in the company’s UK programmes has strengthened and grown.
Already established as a leading supplier of bespoke high precision machining and fabrication in the demanding world of Formula One motor racing, the company hopes to double in size through involvement in the Warrior Capability Sustainment Programme (WCSP).
Development will include major investment in new plant and facilities as well as a doubling of staff numbers from the current 30 and the recruitment of apprentices. This will, in turn, flow through to increased benefits for the local supply chain from which the company sources many of its materials.
