The Flight Test Instrumentation Lab fabricates and installs flight test specific capabilities into aircraft (both during production and post-production).
Machining/Mechanical Fabrication
Create unique ground and flight test-related hardware and modify existing aircraft using conventional and numerically controlled machining.
Electrical Buildup
Manufacture and build up flight test-related electrical hardware.
Fabrication Buildup and Assembly
Develop and assemble test hardware, test fixtures and other ground and flight test-related mechanical hardware.
Instrumentation Installation
Facilitate instrumentation installations on subassemblies and on aircraft for both ground and flight test-related aircraft.
Strain Gage Installation
Install, wire, and calibrate strain gages on aircraft structure and alternate mission equipment for flight test and production aircraft.
