U.S. Government Shutdown Ends and LM Employees to Return to Work
I am very pleased to report that Congress and the Administration have reached an agreement to end the current U.S. government shutdown. The legislation passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama last night includes a continuing resolution that funds the government until January 15, 2014 and extends the debt ceiling until February 7, 2014 to ensure we don’t default on our national debt. This legislation is a temporary measure that gives our lawmakers more time to negotiate a long-term solution to our nation’s budgetary challenges.  Read More >>

3,000 Lockheed Martin Employees Impacted By Government Shutdown
Today, Lockheed Martin announced that approximately 3,000 employees have been identified for furlough on Monday, Oct. 7 as a result of the government shutdown. The number of employees affected is expected to increase weekly in the event of a prolonged shutdown.  Read More >>
