Lockheed Martin and Fort Worth Machinists Union Reach New Labor Agreement
Memorandum
DATE: June 28, 2012
TO: All Lockheed Martin Employees
FROM: Bob Stevens, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Chris Kubasik, President and Chief Operating Officer
SUBJECT: Lockheed Martin and Fort Worth Machinists Union Reach New Labor Agreement
We are pleased to report that our teammates from the International Association of Machinists voted this afternoon to ratify our latest contract proposal. Larry Lawson and the Aeronautics team are already working on a robust return-to-work plan and we expect to see the first IAM members back on the production line Monday, with all members back by July 9.
This is very good news for all of us. With the whole team back on the job, we can once again turn all hands to building the world’s best airplanes for our customers.
Many of you that support the F-35 worked outside your normal responsibilities and made personal sacrifices over the past several weeks to make sure we continued meeting the commitments we made to our nation. Thank you. You embody the spirit and professionalism of Lockheed Martin.
We look forward to welcoming the IAM members back and once again having our full team working together to support our customers.
