Lockheed Martin - At the Farnborough Air Show
BETHESDA, MD, September 1st, 1998 -- Lockheed Martin Corporation's presence at this year's Farnborough Air Show is dominated by a single theme -- total commitment to Global Partnerships. No other aerospace company in the world offers the breadth of capabilities and technology leadership of Lockheed Martin -- and with over 200 global cooperative alliances, Lockheed Martin clearly is the aerospace and technology company partner of choice. Once entering our "Partnership Pavilion" one will experience an enterprise with a vast range of capabilities, the financial strength and global market access necessary to ensure success in the defense and commercial marketplaces. Our exhibit, featuring collaborative ventures and programs from aeronautics, electronics, space, information technologies and systems integration, showcases our commitment to the global market through worldwide partnerships, superior technology and our dedication to 100% Mission Success.
The pavilion is arranged in 10 thematic areas ranging from Tactical Aviation to Battlefield Management to Naval Systems to Tactical Electronics to Missiles Systems and others. Feature programs include the ASTOR surveillance program, the C-130J Hercules tactical transport, the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the Merlin and Apache helicopter programs and future development efforts, such as the Joint Strike Fighter program.
Exhibit highlights include a Project Rainbow defense interoperability demonstration; a fully functioning F-16 advanced cockpit simulator; a LANTIRN night vision and targeting cockpit display; a systems integration exhibit featuring the defense systems integration for the U.K. Royal Navy EH-101 Merlin helicopter and training system; and numerous displays of missiles, tactical weapons, radars, air traffic management and space systems.
A multi-media theater will be the site of a live report via-satellite on the F-22 flight test program from Edwards Air Force, California. The report -- scheduled for Monday, Sept. 7 at 1:00 PM -- will be one of 10 press conferences planned for the Pavilion theater.
You are invited to our Partnership Pavilion, across from our chalet (Row D 10-15).
