Three Lockheed Martin Companies Reach Tentative Agreements With IAM&AW And Local Lodges

BETHESDA, MD, February 22nd, 1999 -- "Three Lockheed Martin companieshave reached tentative agreements with the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers and their respective local lodges following intensive collective bargaining that concluded Sunday at San Antonio, Texas. The tentative agreements cover some 8,400 employees at Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems in Marietta, Ga., Lockheed Martin Skunk Works in Palmdale, Calif., and Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space in Sunnyvale, Calif. Talks had begun at each local site in December and shifted to San Antonio at the beginning of February. Further details of the new agreements are being withheld pending ratification votes that will be taken by the memberships of the union locals in the near future. The anniversary date of the current three-year collective bargaining agreements is March 1, 1999.
