LANTIRN Targeting System Selected for Royal Danish Air Force F-16 Mid-Life Update
ORLANDO, FL, January 18th, 1999 -- The Royal Danish Air Force Materiel Command has selected the LANTIRN Targeting system--enhanced with CCD TV and advanced electronics--for integration on Danish F-16s now being upgraded under the F-16 Mid-Life Update (MLU) program.
The Royal Danish Air Force is the second European Participating Governments (EPG) country to select LANTIRN as the system of choice for the F-16 MLU upgrade. With LANTIRN as the standard targeting system for the F-16 MLU program, the Danish Air Force joins the Royal Netherlands Air Force in supporting worldwide operations for standoff precision targeting.
Other nations indicating similar precision targeting systems requirements of their F-16 MLU aircraft include Belgium, Norway, and Portugal.
