Lockheed Martin Announces New Name for Owego Businesses
OWEGO, NY, 31-JUL-00 -- Lockheed Martin is renaming its Electronics Platform Integration and Federal Systems business units based in Owego, N.Y., as Lockheed Martin Systems Integration - Owego to better reflect successfully establishing itself in high growth markets and the resulting broader, diversified customer base. The change is effective immediately. The change results in an identity that defines our business universally, said Frank C. Meyer, president of Lockheed Martin Systems Integration - Owego. Based on our core systems integration expertise, we are now providing products and services far beyond our traditional aerospace and defense business as we continue our expansion into the commercial markets such as e-commerce automation and complex business systems applications.
Lockheed Martin Systems Integration - Owego includes the following business units: Aerospace Systems, Distribution Technologies, Helo Systems, Systems Solutions, Lockheed Martin Canada, and Lockheed Martin UK Integrated Systems.
