Lockheed Martin and Microlistics to Deploy ISIS® Warehouse Management Software in Americas and Europe

DETROIT, MI, April 8th, 2002 -- Lockheed Martin and Microlistics, an Australian-based supply chain technology company, today announced the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to allow Lockheed Martin to market, implement and support Microlistics' ISIS® Warehouse Management System (WMS) software in the Americas and Europe. Company officials, announcing the MOU during the North American 2002 Material Handling & Logistics Show, noted that the intended alliance aims to strengthen Lockheed Martin's supply chain systems integration capabilities and complete Microlistics' goal of building a global distribution system for its WMS software through key alliances.

An ISIS system uses highly advanced supply chain execution technology to ensure distribution environments are robust, yet highly flexible to react to market demands. The Microlistics software suite includes ISIS Express, a pre-configured, off-the-shelf WMS solution; ISIS Enterprise, an advanced WMS providing seamless enterprise integration; and ISIS 3pl, a WMS solution for third party logistics providers.

"More of our multinational clients, such as Nestlé and The TNT Group, are looking to install ISIS-based software systems outside of Australasia and Asia," said Microlistics Chief Executive Mark Dawson. "We want to provide the best support possible and believe this should be done locally with world-class enterprises such as Lockheed Martin."

In addition to integrating complex systems for aerospace and defense, Lockheed Martin is a major provider of warehousing and distribution applications including material handling, automation, information technology, facilities construction and outsourced support. Lockheed Martin's material handling customers include the U.S. Postal Service, L.L. Bean, Lands' End and Consignia, the United Kingdom's postal service.

"We are in the business of providing total solutions for the supply chain world," said Brian Tanton, vice president of material handling and identification solutions for Lockheed Martin Distribution Technologies, the Lockheed Martin business unit working with Microlistics. "The ISIS technology has proven that it can handle customer operations varying in size and magnitude, multiple languages, and a variety of industries - with a return on investment."

With this MOU in place, Microlistics anticipates joining the ranks of key software companies who support global clients and distributors. For Lockheed Martin, a leading systems integrator worldwide, the MOU heralds a relationship with a proven supply chain execution application to its material-handling offering.

"Our clients are looking for practical solutions from players with genuine supply chain experience," Microlistics' Dawson emphasized. "Given Lockheed Martin's ability to deliver turnkey supply chain and material handling solutions, we found our relationship to be a natural alliance."
