Lockheed Martin And National Presort Inc. Announce Marketing Agreement

OWEGO, NY, February 25th, 2002 -- Lockheed Martin has announced a strategic relationship with National Presort Inc. (NPI), an original equipment manufacturer of mail automation equipment, that will broaden Lockheed Martin's commercial mail product portfolio. NPI, which is based in Dallas, will provide mail sortation systems under the Lockheed Martin brand as a result of the agreement. Effective immediately, Lockheed Martin Distribution Technologies, a business unit serving the commercial mail industry, will add NPI's OMEGA® Reject Processor, OMEGA Mixed Mail Sorter and NP-8000 High Speed Letter Sorter to its product portfolio.

According to Lockheed Martin's Cynthia Sailar, vice president of Enterprise Mail, "This agreement extends our solution portfolio for the commercial sector, and it will help us realize our global objectives. NPI's Chief Executive Officer Henry Daboub has done an excellent job building leading-edge technology for the mailing industry. Lockheed Martin's current and future customers will benefit greatly by this agreement, because we can now provide comprehensive incoming and outgoing mail processing solutions combined with our complementary worldwide service offerings."

Praising the agreement, NPI's Daboub emphasized that "Lockheed Martin is making a long-term commitment to the mailing industry with this strategic relationship." As a result of strong marketing leadership and focus, commercial companies anywhere in the world can now call on Lockheed Martin for a total enterprise mail solution that is "not offered by any other company," he said. "NPI is committed to Lockheed Martin by continuing to invest, develop and manufacture world-class mailing solutions."

The OEM agreement was announced by Lockheed Martin during the National Association of Presort Mailers (NAPM) winter meeting, Feb. 21-22, in Fort Myers, FL.

NPI has been at the forefront of developing technology in the mail sorting industry for 20 years. It has maintained its reputation for unique technological innovation with a series of key breakthroughs, including its OMEGA mail sorting systems and state-of-the-art data acquisition and management software solutions, Sailar noted.
