Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control's Camden Plant Earns Arkansas Quality Achievement Award
DALLAS, TX, October 9th, 2002 -- Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control's Camden Operations has received an Arkansas Quality Achievement Award for outstanding product quality and adherence to quality principles. Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee presented the award to Chris Edwards, Camden plant manager, at a ceremony in Little Rock on October 1. The Arkansas Quality Achievement Award recognizes organizations that have demonstrated systematic processes through their commitment and practice of quality principles. The application criteria mirrors the National Malcolm Baldrige Award's seven categories of performance excellence: Leadership, Strategic Planning, Customer and Market Focus, Information and Analysis, Human Resource Focus, Process Management, and Business Results.

"We are honored to receive this award from the State of Arkansas because it confirms that our focus on quality is producing results for our customers."
The Arkansas Quality Achievement Award is presented annually at an awards banquet in Little Rock. Approximately 350 business and civic leaders from throughout the state attended this year's event, held at the Statehouse Convention Center October 1.
