NASA AND LOCKHEED MARTIN DONATE FLU VACCINE TO CITY

NEW ORLEANS, LA, 06-DEC-04 -- NASA and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) received an allotment of flu vaccine several weeks ago. Following guidelines from the Center for Disease Control, the medical staff vaccinated only at-risk employees.

NASA and Lockheed Martin then donated the remaining vaccine (enough to immunize 800 people) to the City’s Health Department who will dispense it to those who need it most.

Lockheed Martin Space Systems -- Michoud Operations designs and assembles large aluminum and composite structures such as the Space Shuttle External Tank for aerospace and other applications at the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans.
