LOCKHEED MARTIN CIO JOSEPH CLEVELAND NAMED PREMIER 100 IT LEADER BY COMPUTERWORLD MAGAZINE

Bethesda, Md., 06-JAN-04 -- IDG's Computerworld Magazine announced that Lockheed Martin Chief Information Officer Joseph R. Cleveland has been selected as one of the Premier 100 IT Leaders for 2004.

The annual award cites individuals who foster ideas and creative work environments, envision innovative technology approaches to business problems and effectively manage IT strategies. Selected by Computerworld editors, the Premier 100 includes CIOs, CTOs, vice presidents and senior IT directors from leading companies.

Being selected as one of the top 100 IT executives bears witness to the efforts of a great team of IT professionals throughout Lockheed Martin, said Cleveland. This is a tremendous end result of focused dedication to people, processes and technology.

Along with being the Lockheed Martin CIO, Cleveland is also the President of the corporation's Enterprise Information Systems division. Enterprise Information Systems is Lockheed Martin's internal Information Technology service provider, responsible for providing technology-based solutions to the Corporation's businesses. Based in Orlando, Enterprise Information Systems operates one of the world's largest Windows NT networks and processes more than 42 million e-mails monthly at 600 sites in 35 countries.
