LOCKHEED MARTIN EMPLOYEES VOLUNTEER TO STUFF 5,000 USO CARE PACKAGES FOR SOLDIERS

NEW ORLEANS, LA., 03-MAR-05 -- Several hundred Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) employees and family members will fill 5,000 USO Care Packages for our overseas troops from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, March 5 at the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility.

The care packages will be stuffed with items like telephone calling cards, snacks, disposable cameras, playing cards and more. The USO will then send the care packages directly to our soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Lockheed Martin remains an enthusiastic advocate of Operation USO Care Package, having raised over $600,000 for the program corporate-wide. To date, 16 Lockheed Martin employees at the Michoud Assembly Facility have been called to active duty since 9/11.

Reporters and photographers who wish to cover the package-stuffing party are invited to come to the main gate at the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility at 13800 Old Gentilly Road on Saturday morning.

Refreshments and lunch are being provided for all volunteers Saturday courtesy of the ARAMARK Corporation, Sysco Food Services of New Orleans and PepsiCo.
