LOCKHEED MARTIN OPENS NEW OFFICE IN SEATTLE
BELLEVUE, WASH., 11/03/2005 -- Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) opened the doors to a new customer support office in Seattle Thursday. The 8,000-square-foot office located in Bellevue reflects Lockheed Martin’s expanding presence in the Seattle metro area in support of its growing regional business base.
“We are extremely pleased to continue to build Lockheed Martin’s resources in the Seattle area,” Lockheed Martin Systems Integration Vice President Bill Graham, said. “This facility allows us to leverage our expertise in Systems Engineering and Integration to a larger customer set, and we will be able to better support our existing programs, including DoD customers.”
In addition to Graham, the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Lockheed Martin’s new Bellevue facility was attended by Bellevue Mayor Connie Marshall, representatives from the city’s Chamber of Commerce, and Lockheed Martin past and current customers, friends and guests.
The office has been completely remodeled and includes both classified and unclassified facilities. Initially, 20 Lockheed Martin employees will move into the office, with the ability to expand as business requires. The facility will help the company better support potential customers in the Puget Sound area such as the McChord Air Force Base, the Fort Lewis Army Base, the 13th Coast Guard District and the Everett and Kitsap Naval Bases.
