Lockheed Martin Announces Process to Administer Funds to Employees Impacted by Hurricane Katrina
BETHESDA, Md., 07-SEP-05 -- Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] has established an application process for the distribution of funds to employees affected by Hurricane Katrina. Employees in Louisiana and southern Mississippi impacted by the disaster who are in urgent need of immediate cash for food, clothing, gas or shelter should contact the special Lockheed Martin Hurricane Katrina hotline at (800) 563-8442 beginning Thursday, September 8, or apply immediately by going to www.lockheedmartin.com for instructions.
Lockheed Martin will expedite a quick turnaround of cash for affected employees in need, in addition to reaching out to employees who have already called the hotline and expressed the need for financial help. Last week, the Corporation established the Lockheed Martin Hurricane Katrina Employee Assistance Fund and made an initial $1 million contribution, which has since been followed by gracious financial pledges from fellow employees. The Corporation will continue to evaluate and identify ways in which it can help its employees and their communities who have been impacted along the Gulf Coast.
