Lockheed Martin, IBM Asset Recovery, Endicott Interconnect Technologies, Inc., Huron Real Estate Associates, LLC., and Universal Instruments will conduct the annual PC Take Back Day on Saturday, April 29, as part of the Southern Tier’s Earth Fest 2006. PC Take Back Day is an event that enables individuals to recycle unwanted, personally-owned computer products without charge.

Personal computer products can be delivered to any of these locations from 7 a.m. until noon:

• IBM Asset Recovery Center, Odell Avenue and Clark Street at the Huron Campus in Endicott.
• Lockheed Martin, Victory Plaza facility near Moore Tire Sales on Taylor Road, Owego.

Personal computer products (monitors, processing units, keyboards, cables, mouse, modems, disk drives, desktop printers and peripherals) from any manufacturer will be accepted. However, IBM AS/400 and System/360 products, and other electronic equipment, such as televisions or radios, will not be accepted.

A release form must be completed in order to drop-off equipment. Forms will be available at all drop-off locations. The participating companies reserve the right to reject any product.

It is the responsibility of the owner of the equipment being turned in to ensure the items do not contain any personal or confidential information, and data should be deleted from all storage devices prior to drop-off.
