Two Lockheed Martin Systems Integration Engineers Named to Prestigious Fellows Program
OWEGO, NY, 05-JAN-06 -- Two Lockheed Martin employees, Christine Collins and Robert Hanson, have been named Lockheed Martin “Fellows,” an honor reserved for the top one percent of technical talent across the corporation, used to recognize and encourage the highest levels of accomplishment by individual contributors in technical fields.
Collins is the chief engineer for the MH-60S and MH-60R helicopter programs, with technical accomplishments including successful integration of the radar, electronic support measures, acoustics, weapons, sensor and communications systems onto the MH-60R. In addition to her selection as a 2005 Lockheed Martin Fellow, Collins last year received the Corporation's NOVA Award for her leadership of the MH-60R Air Weapon System test team. The NOVA Award is Lockheed Martin's highest recognition for significant or group achievements.
Hanson is currently the software architect for the Merlin Capability Sustainment Plus on assignment to Lockheed Martin UK Information Systems, in the United Kingdom. Hanson is a software architect, and has more than 20 years’ experience in real-time, mission-critical military systems. Hanson, an expert in predictable systems and Rate Monotonic Analysis, has extensive systems architecture and technical leadership experience on both fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft. He is also a member of the Architecture Profession Steering Committee for Lockheed Martin, and received NOVA Awards in 1999 and 2005 for his work in U.S. Navy helicopter programs.
