Free Personal Computer Recycling Offered on Saturday, May 5
OWEGO, NY, 26-APR-07 -- Lockheed Martin, IBM Asset Recovery, Endicott Interconnect Technologies Inc., Huron Real Estate LLC., and Universal Instruments will conduct the annual PC Take Back Day on Saturday, May 5. This is an opportunity for individuals to recycle unwanted personally-owned computer products, free of charge.
Personal computer products can be delivered to any of these locations from 7 a.m. until noon:
• IBM Asset Recovery Center, corner of Odell Avenue and Clark Street in Endicott
• Lockheed Martin Systems Integration – Owego at the Victory Plaza on Taylor Hill Road
• Universal Instruments, 90 Bevier Street, Binghamton
Personal computer products (monitors, processing units, keyboards, cables, mouse, modems, disk drives, desktop printers and peripherals) from any manufacturer will be accepted. IBM AS/400 and System/360 families of products, and other electronic equipment, such as televisions, radios or cell phones are excluded from this offering.
A release form must be completed in order to drop off equipment. Forms will be available at all drop-off locations. The participating companies reserve the right to reject any product.
It is the responsibility of the owner of the equipment being turned in to ensure the items do not contain any personal or confidential information. Data should be deleted from all storage devices prior to drop-off.
