Lockheed Martin Awarded $33 Million Contract to Support IRS

Rockville, Md., 01/22/2008 -- Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] announced today that the corporation was awarded a 4-year, $33 million contract from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to operate, maintain and enhance e-Services, a suite of Web-based products that allows tax professionals and payers to conduct business with the IRS electronically.

Under the contract, Lockheed Martin will maintain the e-Services suite of constituent-facing applications to help increase electronic filing and improve user service. e-Services is composed of several applications including registration, taxpayer identification number and bulk matching, e-File, electronic account resolution and transcript delivery. Lockheed Martin will also support the enhancement and operation of e-Services infrastructure.

Lockheed Martin also supports the IRS in a variety of functions, including providing solutions that enhance taxpayer service, improving regulatory compliance, and expediting and enhancing audits and examinations.
