ALEXANDRIA, Va, 10/14/2010 --

Savi Technology, a Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] company and leader in wireless solutions that manage smart assets, has been named by Connected World magazine to its CW 100 list as one of the world's most "innovative technology providers of M2M (machine-to-machine) and connected devices."

This is the seventh consecutive year in which a magazine from Specialty Publishing Co., the publisher of Connected World, has named Savi as one of the top 100 innovators of M2M and connected devices technology. Selected by the magazine's editors, the CW 100 "represents the top companies demonstrating market traction and pursuing game-changing technologies in connectivity . . . the list provides a guide to the companies making a difference in connected devices and M2M."

"Savi Technology continues to distinguish itself with a growing array of innovations that automate the management of asset-intensive supply chains through low-power, wireless sensor networks," said Peggy Smedley, editorial director, Connected World. "The endless demand that we are seeing for connected devices, across multiples verticals, has a significant effect on the level of competition we will see in the marketplace. In order to stay competitive, companies must display considerable innovation, strength, and staying-power, traits you can find throughout the CW 100."

"We're honored to be recognized by Connected World for integrated wireless solutions that are turbo-charging productivity improvements in government and commercial enterprises," said William Maggs, Savi's Chief Technology Officer. "Accolades like this spur us on to drive further value for our customers with low-power wireless solutions that automatically link people, places and things in real-time."

Companies appearing on the CW 100 are chosen from a selection of hundreds of firms and based on criteria such as sales and earnings growth, contribution to the connected devices space, and innovation in multiple markets served during the past 12 months. In addition to Savi Technology, other companies listed include Cisco, General Electric, Google, Honeywell, IBM, Motorola, Texas Instruments, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.
