DAGR™: Precision-Strike Capability in a 2.75-inch/70mm Guided Rocket

DAGR is a precision-strike, multi-role, multi-platform 2.75-inch/70mm munition that effectively neutralizes non-armored and high-value targets close to civilian assets or friendly forces. DAGR offers HELLFIRE II reliability while limiting collateral damage.
Building on 30+ years of leadership in precision laser-guided weaponry, Lockheed Martin’s DAGR guidance kit integrates seeker guidance, electronics, and integrated flight simulation developed on the Joint Common Missile (JCM) and Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) programs. DAGR provides lock-on-before-launch and lock-on-after-launch capabilities, target handoff, enhanced built-in test, and laser coding from the cockpit. Its off-axis capability also increases the engagement envelope, providing additional field of view for angle-of-attack, moving targets, and wind.
The DAGR system mounts to HELLFIRE®-compatible digital and analog launchers or directly to an aircraft pylon. DAGR guided rockets can also be launched from legacy M260/M261 launchers. The rail-mounted canister mounts to a HELLFIRE-compatible launcher (e.g., M299 and M310) and readily integrates with all HELLFIRE platforms including unmanned aerial vehicles and Apache, Kiowa, Little Bird, Cobra, and Tiger helicopters.
The pylon-mounted launcher mounts directly to the platform pylon or bomb rack, and features its own strongback and electronics to provide weapons inventory and other data to the operator. The pylon-mount launcher enables carriage by a variety of platforms without HELLFIRE launchers, including lightweight fixed-wing aircraft, small rotary-wing aircraft and patrol boats, as well as ground-launch pedestals and vehicles.
DAGR leverages off-the-shelf 2.75-inch/70mm rocket motors and warheads for low-cost, low-risk capabilities upgrade. It is a low-cost alternative to destroy non-armored and high-value targets, limiting collateral damage. DAGR’s 10-degree off-boresight feature provides a large engagement envelope and capability against fast-moving and pop-up targets.
