The World's Most Advanced 5th Generation Aircraft
The F-35 Lightning II is the world's leading 5th Generation aircraft. Its unmatched processing power, open architecture, powerful sensors, information fusion and flexible communication links make the F-35 the world's most advanced fighter aircraft. The unsurpassed technological systems and unique stealth capabilities ensure that the F-35 will be the future of Turkish national security. The F-35 will continue to strengthen the foundation for Turkish air combat defense and global security cooperation.
Industrial Participation
Lockheed Martin has been engaged with the Turkish aerospace industry for over 25 years and Turkey's role in the manufacturing of a major structural component of the F-35 aircraft along with some equipment items will continue to strengthen our economic partnership. The JSF both reflects and reinforces that spirit of transatlantic unity and today, we have world-class military and industrial partnerships that are coming to life around the globe. Turkish industries are competing to be major providers of goods and services to the F-35 program for the life of the program. By working together to build a stealthy, supportable, next-generation aircraft, we're also building a stronger, more cohesive industrial base to protect the United States, Turkey, our other allies, and all who share the same values.
