LAV-C2

LAV-C2

Lockheed Martin improves LAV-25 vehicles with new communication and digital battlefield management systems that improve voice and data connectivity. The result is the Light Armored Vehicle-Command and Control. With over 50 on order, LAV-C2 will be a mobile command center for U.S. Marines who need fully informed intelligence, which helps fire support operations and maneuvers during amphibious and land missions.

An all-terrain, all-weather, amphibious vehicle with night capabilities, LAV-C2 features a Type I raised roof chassis outfitted with communication stations. This mobile command center provides field commanders with all the resources to control and coordinate units in all assigned roles under full armored protection. LAV-C2’s benefits include:

  • Integrated Communications—Lockheed Martin’s recognized system integration benefits LAV-C2, which joins together UHF, VHF, HF, SATCOM, voice and data networks in one command location. Open architecture brings together legacy equipment with advanced communications assets, a system that can grow as new technologies are fielded.
  • Wide Reach—Maintain continuous digital or voice communications with all platoon elements within its area of responsibility and with forward observers, fire support teams and higher headquarters.
  • Flexible Configuration—LAV-C2 can adopt other useful configurations, made possible by its modular technology stations, like the Fire Direction Center, which can control and assign artillery fire missions.

LAV-C2 delivers a new fidelity of situational awareness to mobile operations, connecting an entire expeditionary team like never before.
