Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company Contractor Environment, Safety & Health Requirements
Suppliers, subcontractors, contractors or vendors who will perform work in Lockheed Martin facilities or on Lockheed Martin property shall comply with ESH requirement as dictated below.
Contractors will fall into one of two categories:
· Level 1 (L1) Contractor:
A contractor with no ESH-related activity (e.g., vending machine restocking, copier maintenance in non-hazardous locations, office tasks, meetings/presentations, tours, demonstrations, deliveries related to blanket purchases of non-hazardous material, non-dangerous and standard deliveries, or calibration of equipment in non-hazardous locations).
· Level 2 (L2) Contractor:
All contractors who do not meet the definition of an L1 Contractor as defined above (e.g., all contractors who are involved in construction, renovation, repair, maintenance, custodial work, environmental remediation, work with hazardous chemicals, or work in potentially hazardous locations).
L2 Contractor shall submit a Site ESH Work Plan (or equivalent, as approved by ESH), that covers all activities that will be conducted during the contract period. This plan must be reviewed and approved by ESH, prior to the start of work (including prep work, staging, etc.).
All Contractors and their sub tier suppliers must comply with the requirements set forth in EXHIBIT XX - Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company (LM) Contractor Environment, Safety & Health (ESH) Requirements.
All Contractor personnel shall receive ESH site-specific briefing on general site policies, ESH policies, emergency procedures and potential hazards. This briefing is required annually for Level 2 contractors.

L2 Contractor shall submit a Site ESH Work Plan (or equivalent, as approved by ESH), that covers all activities that will be conducted during the contract period. This plan must be reviewed and approved by ESH, prior to the start of work (including prep work, staging, etc.).
Contractor shall notify ESH and the LM POC of any excavation/trenching operations prior to commencement of such work. Contractor shall complete an LMSSC Excavation/trenching Permit (or equivalent as approved by ESH) prior to commencement of work.
