Environment, Safety and Health Requirements

Bay Area

1) All contractors and their sub-contractors must be familiar with and comply with requirements within the Contractor Environment Safety and Health at LMSSC handbook. In addition, contractors must watch the Contractor Environment Safety and Health at LMMS video and submit Acknowledgement Of Orientation To Environment, Safety and Health For Contractor Employees At LMSSC form prior to commencement of work on LMSSC sites. A video, DVD or handbook may also be obtained from your Lockheed Martin Point of Contact.

2) A Contractor ESH Project Assessment must be completed by the general/prime contractor upon award of contract bid and prior to commencement of site work.

3) Indoor construction and demolition activities must comply with the Construction/Demolition Indoor Air Quality Control Clause document.

4) A Powder Actuated Tool Permit must be completed prior to powder actuated tool use and posted within the work area.

5) An Excavation Permit must be completed and posted within the work area prior to excavation/trenching of depths four feet and greater.

6) Requirements for excavation and/or drilling below ground surface and Best Management Practices for Construction Related Groundwater Disposal.

7) Requirement and Best Management Practices for Construction Storm water runoff control.

8) Storm Water Inspection Checklist for contractors.

9) A Mobile Crane & Equipment Lift Notification must be generated and distributed at least five days prior to the lifting of materials onto or over buildings, and whenever a mobile crane is used (indoors or outdoors).

10) Ordnance Awareness for contractors.

Denver

1) All contractors and their sub-contractors must be familiar with and comply with requirements within the Denver ESH Contractor & Subcontractor Handbook.

2) A Contractor ESH Project Assessment must be completed by the general/prime contractor upon award of contract bid and prior to commencement of site work.

3) Indoor construction and demolition activities must comply with the Construction/Demolition Indoor Air Quality Control Clause document.

4) A Powder Actuated Tool Permit must be completed prior to powder actuated tool use and posted within the work area.

5) An Excavation & Trenching Permit must be completed and posted within the work area prior to any excavation/trenching. In addition erosion control is required during construction per the BMPs Manual.

Newtown

In addition, contractors must watch the Contractor ESH video and pass the competency test prior to commencement of work on LMSSC sites. The video will be shown and test will be administered by your Lockheed Martin Point of Contact.

2) A Contractor ESH Project Assessment must be completed by the general/prime contractor upon award of contract bid and prior to commencement of site work.

3) Indoor construction and demolition activities must comply with the Construction/Demolition Indoor Air Quality Control Clause document.
