Construction Progressing Toward Goal

Friday, August 10th, 2012

Construction activities are progressing at a good pace toward the goal of completing the water treatment facility by later this fall.  This week and next at the Lockheed Martin facility, crews are continuing building construction activities with roofing soffit and flashing installation, and exterior painting and trim work.

We will continue to receive process area tanks, skids and piping for installation. On the building interior, crews are continuing framing, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing conduit rough-ins. We will also be installing insulation and drywall in the office area.

Electrical contracting crews continued pulling wire at service panel locations at the Schmid Farm, 19th Street North, 17th Street Court East, and 76th Avenue Drive East locations.

Horizontal drilling activities, to install water conveyance piping, continue in the rights of way areas on Tallevast Road.  Vault and piping installation work is also continuing at the facility. As scheduled, pressure testing will follow piping installation.

As always, if anyone has any questions about these construction activities, please give me a call at 941-554-3862 or 1-800-449-4486 and I’ll do my best to get the appropriate answers to your questions.
