The Corporation contributes generously to global, national, regional, and local programs and non-profit organizations that focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, customer and constituent priorities, and community involvement. These global community outreach activities reflect the values that are embodied in our employees and intrinsic to the Lockheed Martin culture. Our dedicated employees donate countless volunteer hours to advance a wide variety of causes. Stated simply, our employees care. They are talented professionals, but it is their genuine concern for others that helps make Lockheed Martin an exceptional contributor to the public good.
Philanthropy
We commit 50 percent of our philanthropic contributions, outreach initiatives and volunteer hours to STEM education; 30 percent to our customer- and constituent-valued causes; and 20 percent to local community programs. This overarching strategy guides our philanthropy decisions at Lockheed Martin locations across the country. Our coordinated approach ensures that our efforts are truly making a difference by providing philanthropic and volunteer support for programs and organizations that:
- Improve the quality of STEM education, enhance academic performance, train and recruit qualified teachers, and engage students with hands-on activities and inquiry-based learning opportunities.
- Promote quality solutions with measurable impact for our customers’ and constituents’ priorities in global security and military service member aid.
- Strengthen our communities through their civic, cultural, environmental, or health and human services programs.

Lockheed Martin Employee Disaster Relief Fund
With offices located around the nation and the globe, it is inevitable that Lockheed Martin employees will be affected by natural or terroristic disasters of a catastrophic nature.
Lockheed Martin has established a standing relief fund to assist employees based on an objective needs assessment in federally declared disaster areas or in the case of certain other disasters.
STEM Education Outreach
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is the major focus of Lockheed Martin’s education outreach activity.
