Lockheed Martin is expanding its efforts in Finland, working closely with Finnish Industry to engage and maximize industrial participation in-country. Partnering with local companies such as Patria, Lockheed Martin is proud to partner with Finland on a variety of programs and capabilities supporting Finland’s national security goals.
Major programs and capabilities include:
Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR)- In 2010, Finland selected Lockheed Martin to modify an EADS CASA C-295 turboprop aircraft to accommodate advanced ISR systems. Ground stations will also be supplied to support the airborne system.
Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) - A four-year MLRS customer, Finland upgraded its MLRS in 2011 with 22 M270 systems. With this, Finland will be able to incorporate the Universal Fire Control system and launch precision GPS-guided munitions.
Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS)- Available in the MLRS upgrade, ATACMS provides an enhanced launcher easily transported to and from conflicts using NATO cargo aircraft.
Tactical Land Vehicles- Together with Patria, Lockheed Martin is researching modular vehicles for potential use in the modernization of current tactical land vehicles.
