Fly on a Super Connie Centennial Contest

Announcing Contest Winners & Super Connie News

Thank you to everyone who entered the Lockheed Martin Centennial Flight Contest. Your enthusiasm and passion for aviation is nothing short of inspiring. We’re excited to announce the contest winners:

We also have some unfortunate news: The Breitling Super Connie that was slated to appear at the 2012 Farnborough International Airshow has experienced a mechanical issue that will require one of the engines to be replaced. This means that it will not be able to make the trip to Farnborough.

We know this is disappointing. Although we will not be able to host the Centennial flight as planned, winners are still invited to join us at Farnborough on July 10, 2012, where they can experience a behind-the-scenes tour of our technology demonstration center; a flight on our F-35 simulator; lunch; and access to the aircraft display area. Winners will also receive a prize package of special Centennial gear—including a limited edition Lockheed Martin leather bomber jacket.

We regret that we cannot conduct the Centennial Flight at Farnborough, but we are working to potentially reschedule the flight for a future date. Stay tuned via Twitter and Facebook for updates.

Congratulations to our winners, and thanks again to all who entered the Lockheed Martin Centennial Flight Contest!
