The White House Historical Association has been designing and manufacturing the Official White House Christmas Ornament since 1981. The Sikorsky H-34 helicopter has been selected as 2019’s ornament, representing President Dwight D. Eisenhower. In 1957, President Eisenhower became the first president in office to use helicopter transportation. This event marked a significant development for both the White House and the helicopter industry.
All ornament sales support the non-profit, non-partisan mission of the White House Historical Association to protect, preserve, and provide public access to the history of the White House.
