As you are probably aware, cybersecurity attacks continue to increase in frequency and sophistication for the Aerospace and Defense industry. It is imperative small businesses understand what’s at stake and recognize their shared role in protecting sensitive information. Therefore, Lockheed Martin will host eleven (11) face-to-face cybersecurity workshops to be held across the country. Targeted suppliers and/or companies will include small businesses, with particular focus on women-owned small businesses (WOSB), veteran-owned small businesses (VOSB) and service-disabled veteran owned small businesses (SDVOSB).
Each training session will be led by a Lockheed Martin cybersecurity professional, lasting approximately three (3) hours in duration. Focus areas of training will include areas such as the following:
- Legislation and policy including DFARS 252,204-7012, NIST SP 800-171
- Safeguarding covered defense information
- Cyber incident reporting
- Best practices
This workshop will provide valuable cybersecurity information and we suggest that your company send decision makers and cybersecurity/IT experts.
