Conflict Minerals Annual Supplier Survey
December 2020 --
Lockheed Martin is committed to the responsible sourcing of materials for our products, including the sourcing of Conflict Minerals. Lockheed Martin’s Conflict Minerals program will soon kick-off the annual process which will conclude by filing a report with the SEC in May 2021. Lockheed Martin depends upon our complex, multi-tiered supply chain for insight into sources of raw materials. If you are identified as an applicable supplier, you will receive the survey request and detailed instructions.
Our Supplier Code of Conduct includes our expectations that suppliers take steps to determine if their products contain Conflict Minerals and if so, implement supply chain due diligence processes to identify sources of these minerals and support efforts to eradicate the use of Conflict Minerals which directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its nine adjoining countries.
We support smelter efforts with financial and human capital industry-wide initiatives, including the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) and Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), which assist with our benchmarking and smelter analysis efforts.
You are encouraged to learn more about the Conflict Minerals rules by reviewing our prior year filings and the SEC website. You can also find answers on the SEC's FAQ website. If you have questions, please contact us.
