Cyber Assist Website Launched

Defense Industrial Base Sector Coordinating Council Launches the Cyber Assist Website to Help Suppliers with Cyber Readiness

Targeting of the multi-tier supply chain by cyber adversaries is an existential threat to national security
and our customers. New regulations, standards, technologies and the evolving threats creates a volume
of information that is challenging for Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) to reconcile and adopt. This
makes it arduous to achieve a holistic and sustainable cybersecurity program to effectively defend their
networks and supply chain.

On March 5, 2020, The Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Sector Coordinating Council (SCC) launched a new
Cyber Assist Website to provide trusted resources for short and long term cyber resiliency within the
supply chain. Resources include guides, standards, sample policies and procedures, videos, example
tools, lessons learned, and other helpful information. Users can simply click on a security control family
and be directed to a list of resources to help with successful implementation and assessment. This
website will also serve as a platform to share awareness, threats, best practices, tools and other
resources from industry peers, government groups and initiatives.

The Cyber Assist Team is taking a phased approach to building the cybersecurity resources repository. In
the coming months, additional resources will be posted to the website. The next release will provide
resources for controls listed within the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Framework.
Please check back to the website periodically for these updates.
