Each year, Lockheed Martin hosts Code Quest, an annual computer programming competition where teams of two to three high school students work together to solve problems by using JAVA, Python, C#, and/or C++ programming to complete the “quest”. The problem set consists of 20 to 30 challenging problems created by Lockheed Martin engineers and computer programmers.
This year’s Code Quest event will return to being in-person at Lockheed Martin facilities! Planning is underway to ensure that all necessary precautions with regards to COVID-19 can be observed during this event; most particularly, this means that space will be limited at these on-site events, and registration waitlists will not be available. However, a virtual option will remain.
Where possible, we encourage teams to attend an in-person event as there are site activities that provide a more enhanced experience. Students and Coaches will receive breakfast, lunch, and swag bags. Winning teams will receive trophies. Students on the winning teams will receive medals.
The virtual competition is designed for schools that are not located near a Lockheed Martin facility to be able to participate in the competition.
If Virtual reaches capacity, we will prioritize teams not located near a Lockheed Martin facility first.
All locations including virtual compete against themselves and will have 1st, 2nd 3rd place winners in each category, novice and advanced. We do not have global winners or ranking.
