Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Patricia L. Lewis is senior vice president of Human Resources for Lockheed Martin Corporation. Ms. Lewis is responsible for Lockheed Martin’s diverse workforce of 100,000 employees in over 50 countries around the world. She develops and implements the global human capital strategy, including: benefits, compensation and performance management, talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, labor relations, talent and organizational capability, and workforce solutions and intelligence. She also oversees the corporation’s Global Security organization.

She previously served as vice president of Human Resources for the Information Systems & Global Solutions for Lockheed Martin. She was responsible for leading the Human Resources function for a growing enterprise of more than 30,000 employees that generated $8.4 billion in sales in 2013. She also served as vice president of Human Resources for Lockheed Martin’s Electronic Systems business area.

Since joining Lockheed Martin in 2011, Ms. Lewis implemented a number of strategic talent initiatives, including the Program Management Talent Initiative, which was instituted across the Electronic Systems business area to accelerate the development of high potential diverse leaders from various disciplines for senior leadership roles. In addition, she spearheaded two pilot programs for the corporation in the areas of Integrated Talent Management and Cultural Change, which will be instrumental in optimizing talent decision making processes and understanding how to evolve the workforce to be more agile and responsive to business imperatives.

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Ms. Lewis served in a variety of increasingly responsible positions at IBM Corporation. She was the vice president of Human Resources for IBM’s Global Technology Services Business for the Americas, with responsibility for HR strategic initiatives and programs across the U.S., Canada and Latin America. She also held the position of vice president, Diversity and Employee Experience.

Her professional affiliations include the National Association of Female Executives and the Society for Human Resources Management. She is an avid proponent of cultural diversity and inclusion and has served as an advisor and member of several corporate diversity councils. Ms. Lewis graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a Bachelor of Science in industrial relations management.
