April 27, 2012: USA Science & Engineering Festival “Sneak Peek” Tweetup

As the presenting host of the 2012 USA Science and Engineering Festival, we've invited Lockheed Martin Twitter followers to join us on Friday, April 27th for an exclusive sneak peek of the nation’s largest celebration of science and engineering! They will be among the first to experience SciFest’s many interactive exhibits before the Festival opens to the public, meet the people behind the scenes, and engage with some of Lockheed Martin’s most passionate scientists and engineers.

Follow the “Sneak Peek” conversation on Twitter using the #SciFest and #LMTweetup hashtags.

Lockheed Martin is pleased to again host the USA Science and Engineering Festival in Washington D.C., April 28-29, 2012.

The USA Science & Engineering Festival is the nation’s largest celebration of science and engineering, developed to increase public awareness of the importance of science and engineering and to encourage youth to pursue careers in those fields. The festival celebrates technology innovators in much the same way as society acclaims Hollywood celebrities, professional athletes and pop stars.

We are joined by many other Festival sponsors, such as the Department of Defense, the U.S. Air Force, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

The USA Science & Engineering Festival is a grassroots collaboration of over 500 of the United States' leading science and engineering organizations, including the Association for Women in Science, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Geological Survey, Carnegie Institute of Science, and American Physical Society.

As we commemorate our centennial this year, Lockheed Martin exhibits will explore our legacy of innovation and the evolution of advanced technology and exploration. We believe this carries on the spirit of collaboration and problem solving that Allan and Malcolm Loughead and Glenn L. Martin established, and which continues in the way we do business today.

All Lockheed Martin exhibits will be in a single location at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, which will allow us to guide attendees through an interactive experience with cutting-edge technologies and set the groundwork for inspiring future innovators.
