Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training (MST)
Dan Schultz is President of Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, the largest line of business within the Mission Systems and Training (MST) business area. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading the strategic growth and program execution of Lockheed Martin’s government and commercial rotorcraft platforms.
Previously, Mr. Schultz served as Vice President for MST’s Sikorsky Transition and Integration team. In that role, he led the Integration Management Office team responsible for the global coordination and successful integration of the Sikorsky acquisition.
Mr. Schultz joined Lockheed Martin in 2006, and has taken on larger and increasingly complex business opportunities. Prior to leading the Sikorsky Transition and Integration team, he served as Vice President and General Manager of MST’S Ship and Aviation Systems line of business. In that role he oversaw the strategy and execution of a diverse portfolio including the Littoral Combat Ship program; Coast Guard systems; aviation systems, including rotary wing, fixed wing, and unmanned aerial systems; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems; electronic products; information technology services for U.S. and international postal services; logistics and sustainment; lasers and sensor systems; and vertical launch platforms.
While on active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Schultz was the program manager for the Joint V-22 Osprey Program. He was responsible for the execution of the program for the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Special Operations Command. He has also held several commanding officer positions in aviation and ground units while on active duty.
Mr. Schultz’s military career also included serving in the office of the Assistant Secretary of Navy Research, Development and Acquisition, and with the Joint Chiefs of Staff, J-8 Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC).
Mr. Schultz holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Virginia Military Institute and a Master of Science degree from the National Defense University. He is a graduate of the Defense System Program Management Course, the Defense Acquisition University’s Senior Acquisition Course, the Department of Defense Executive Acquisition Course, and is Level III certified in Program Management.
