Acting Senior Vice President, Government Affairs

Greg Walters is acting senior vice president of Government Affairs for Lockheed Martin. In this role, he directs the corporation’s activities with Congress and the Pentagon, and manages all federal, state and local government customer relationships.

Walters also serves as the vice president of Legislative Affairs. He previously served as vice president of Legislative Affairs for Space Systems and Operations. Throughout his career, he has led several critical initiatives for Lockheed Martin, including the legislative component of campaigns to reestablish the LM EO Overhead and GPS III Satellite franchises, obtain additional funding to successive budget requests for the F-35, UH-60, THAAD, Orion and LCS programs, and the defeat of attempts to prohibit the use of the RD-180 engine on Atlas V, ensuring a level playing field for future launch competitions. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Walters served in a variety of increasingly responsible positions in the government and private sector, with 14 years in the U.S. Congress and four years in the Department of Defense.

He graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s in Economics and received his MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
