Saluting Our Nation's Brave: Remembering Those Who Made Our Tomorrow Possible
We're proud to be a global security and aerospace company with a strong commitment to the well-being of our military community. Of our 116,000 employee population, about one in five is a veteran, reservist, or military spouse.
We're dedicated to supporting service members and their families, empowering veterans in transition to the civilian sector, and honoring the legacy of those who have served. Through funding research to help inform policy decisions and drive critical programming, we're working to make a positive impact on the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for our nation.
Lockheed Martin is known for convening thought leaders, solving complex challenges, and delivering innovative solutions. We want to be a part of the solution for the issues facing our military community. We are proud of the incredible work of our non-profit partners and the rich, long-standing partnerships that we have cultivated together.
Rebuilding Together Partnership
Affording peace of mind to a veteran and their family is priceless, and in 2022, our employees have gotten to do just that.
Lockheed Martin employees have been teaming up with local chapters of the nonprofit organization Rebuilding Together through their Veterans at Home program to provide critical home repairs and accessibility modifications for Veterans in eight communities , with more projects to come in 2023.
In one project, the 82-year-old California homeowner and veteran was unable to make the improvements necessary for he and his wife to safely remain in their home. So, with a truckload of paint, tools and donated equipment, the Lockheed Martin volunteers spent a full day making the much-needed updates and even painted the whole house.
Supporting Military Members, Their Families, and Veterans
As our military serves proudly to keep us safe, their families serve, too. With our nonprofit partners, we support the active duty force and their families with programs that help improve their lives.
At Lockheed Martin, veterans are at the center of everything we do — in fact, one in five of our employees has served in uniform. We are proud to help our brave service members successfully transition into civilian careers.
Join us and you will find opportunities to take on the same kind of long-term challenging assignments you tackled while in the military.
