Electronic Warfare (EW) represents the ability to use the electromagnetic spectrum—signals such as radio, infrared, or radar—to sense, protect, and communicate. At the same time, EW can distrupt, denies and degrade adversaries the ability to use these signals.

EW is divided into three (3) major areas:

Electronic Attack

Electronic Attack

Disrupt, deny, degrade, destroy, or deceive
Electronic Protection

Electronic Protection

Preventing a receiver from being jammed or deceived
Electronic Support

Electronic Support

Sensing of the electromagnetic spectrum

All-Domain Electronic Warfare

Explore how Lockheed Martin combines capable EW technology with robust platform integration.

Surface Electronic Warfare

Lockheed Martin builds systems that help the U.S. Navy safely patrol and protect the seas. We deliver proven technologies and functional capabilities that provide real-time situational awareness, enabling the U.S. Navy to intercept signals that identify both imminent and potential threats. These countermeasure technologies use EW to protect vessels from anti-ship missile attacks.

Ground Electronic Warfare

Lockheed Martin provides ground EW solutions to U.S. forces, allied, coalition, and partner nations through a unique next-generation open architecture product platform and open business model. Our multi-function/multi-mission capability builds on the Symphony Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) Defeat system. Since its initial fielding in 2006, over 4,000 Symphony C-IED systems have been delivered and are currently deployed in support of U.S. coalition and partner nation warfighters.

Airborne Electronic Warfare

Lockheed Martin’s knowledge of airborne protection extends well beyond platform development. We have fielded airborne electronic warfare systems, including electronic support measure (ESM), radar warning receiver (RWR), electronic intelligence, communications intelligence, and anti-jam GPS products.

Cyber Electronic Warfare

Lockheed Martin provides the full spectrum of offensive and defensive capabilities in the electromagnetic spectrum using cyber solutions and electronic warfare systems. Using cross-domain technologies and an open architecture design, we offer full mission support to dominate in a new era of integrated cyber warfare.
