Launched in the heart of Santa Barbara’s “Infrared Valley” in 1985, Santa Barbara Focalplane was the first company in the industry to build a high-resolution IR sensor with the speed to capture a hummingbird frozen in flight.

Today, the team in Santa Barbara is supporting every line of business across Lockheed Martin, a true example of OneLM collaboration. Santa Barbara aims to support and grow all Lockheed Martin programs and advance Focal Plane Array design and manufacturing in the area.
