The  AIR 5428 Pilot Training System will deliver performance-based options to train the next generation of Australian pilots over the next 25 years. Lockheed Martin leads the delivery of an integrated solution tailored for all future pilots for the Royal Australian Air Force, Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Army. The initial seven year program is valued at AU$1.2 billion. Performance-based options for up to 25 years will provide the opportunity to extend the length and increase the value of the total contract. The Lockheed Martin-led team that includes Pilatus Aircraft, Ltd. and Hawker Pacific will lead the delivery of an integrated solution tailored for all future pilots for the Australian Defence Force.

Hawker Pacific Pty Ltd was formed in 1978 with its corporate headquarters in Sydney NSW, employs over 400 people across Australia and has significant aviation sales and support capabilities across the Asia Pacific and the Middle East. At RAAF Base Pearce, Hawker Pacific has successfully provided maintenance support to the Republic of Singapore Air Force PC-21 aircraft training capability in synergy with Lockheed Martin and Pilatus since 2006.
