Leading, training, mentoring and guiding my team of Financial Analysts in all aspects of their career development. I also assist my team in the preparation of five-year, three-year, annual and quarterly strategic planning forecasts for Orders, Sales (Revenue), Profit (EBIT) and Cash Flow including quarterly financial contract status review (CSR) packages and assist my team in the creation, maintenance and updates of Budgets and Earned Value Metrics (EVMS) monthly/cumulative data as well as variance analysis for US Government Financial reporting.

Can you tell us about your experience at Lockheed Martin?
When I started in the College Work Experience Program at Lockheed Martin in 2006, for me, coming out of the closet was not an option. At that time the site’s culture was not the most accepting and I was afraid of what being labeled as gay could do to my career. In 2009, I got a major confidence boost when I started dating this amazing guy, and he helped me realize that being gay is a wonderful gift and only one part of who I am. I did some real soul-searching that year and decided that if Lockheed Martin was going to be the place where I made my career, then they were going to have to accept me for who I am – all of who I am. I was very lucky that when I decided to take that step out of the closet I was accepted right away, and I can truly say that my career has flourished since. Fast forward to 2018, I am managing an awesome team of Finance Analysts and have the pleasure of serving as my division’s Orlando PRIDE Employee Resource Group (ERG) Site Lead. I also happen to be married to that amazing guy I met back in 2009, am living my life authentically, and forever working to try and spread a message of love and acceptance across the Lockheed Martin community.

Would you like to work at a place that allows you to be yourself? If so, a career at Lockheed Martin might be for you.
